Are you ready to talk like a pilot?

USE SHORT SENTENCES

It is easier to understand each other when the speech we use is concise. Which one you understand better?

Do you want apple or banana?
If you had a choice for the favorite fruit of yours, would you rather care for an apple or banana?

CONFIRM WITH WHOLE PHRASE

A single yes or no is not enough!

Did it ever happen to you that you misunderstood someone's yes or no?

Pilots cannot do that.

Imagine your Dad calls from the kitchen, while cleaning up the dishes:

"You wanna ice cream?

Yes - it's just one quick sound, easy to get lost in the hassle. We cannot have it.

Yes, I want ice cream! - and your chances for getting them are so much bigger!

MAKE SURE YOU SPEAK THE SAME LANGUAGE

All pilots and towers communications around the world happen in English. Using different

languages could lead to unnecessary confusion and errors - as you already know: there is

no room for error here.

The numbers are spelled by digits (13 is one-three, not thirteen) and letters - by words,

you can learn all about them in the alphabet

A PILOT ALWAYS MAKES SURE SHE / HE IS UNDERSTOOD!
